Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of St. Francis Xavier Church at Newtown. This view is of the main entrance to the church. There is a three sided vestibule with a pyramid roof that points toward the tower. The tower is four sided with a pyramid roof. There is a louvred arch where the bell would be, so it is not visible. The vestibule is two stories tall with a three over three double hung window in three faces of the second floor. There are etched? leaded glass? windows in two faces of the first floor. The double door is very plain and only two steps above the ground. There is a light on a pole to guide worshippers to the entrance. The sanctuary has a gable roof and is just visible behind the vestibule. There is some scaffolding on the right side of the sanctuary. There appears to be a wire fence around the whole building.
