Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of the attic of St. Francis Xavier Church at Newtown. This view is a closeup of the bell on its support. There is a round piece of wood on the opposite side of the bell. There are wires, about the same gauge as a coat hanger, twisted around the "handles" for the bell. Near the camera it is possible to see "1691" in the top band of the bell and something like a patch, with an indecipherable figure on the side.
