3 1/2"h x 4 1/2"w black and white landscape orientation photograph of Saint George's Protestant Episcopal Church, aka Poplar Hill Church. This photo was cut from the Sunday bulletin. It showed the gable end of the building. The church appeared to be brick or stucco with white painted trim and a light roof. There was a central door flanked by a window on each side and a small circular window six or seven feet above the door. There appeared to be two steps up to a small landing floor with wrought iron hand railings on each side of the steps. Five windows were on the long wall of the building. Several gravestones were visible on each side of the building. The remainder of a steeple was in the cemetery on the right. There were large spreading trees on the grounds.
***********************The order of the Sunday service was mimeographed on the verso of the photo, but much of it was obscured by black paper tightly glued.Collection
