3 1/2"h x 5"w black and white landscape orientation photograph of Saint George's Protestant Episcopal Church, aka Poplar Hill Church. It showed the west gable end and the south side of the building. The church appeared to be brick with light-colored painted trim and a light roof. On the gable end, there was a central door flanked by a window on each side and a small circular window six or seven feet above the door. Shrubs were near each corner of the building. Three windows were on the long wall of the building. A shed roofed addition, half open and half enclosed, was on the back third of the building and extended farther to create an addition. Three archways provided access to the open part of the addition. A small six over six double hung window was in the side of the enclosed part of the addition. Many gravestones were visible on each side of the building and a cross was buried to its cross arms in the foreground. There also appeared to be a new grave at the center of the lower edge of the image. There were large spreading trees on the grounds.
