3 1/2"h x 3"w black and white photo of the St. Mary's Academy building. This was the 1885 version in the process of being torn down. The building was three stories tall with a mansard roof. It was three bays wide. This elevation faced the Hollywood Road. A small steeple was in the center of the roof. It had louvers on four sides and a tall flared pyramid roof with a cross still in place. On the roof level, there were three large windows. All the glazing was removed. On the second floor, nearly all the exterior walls had been removed. On the first floor, most of the exterior walls remained, as did the glazing. There was a flat roofed porch over a large central door. A sidewalk led to the porch. There was a large two story building behind the original building. It had four gable faces in its roof. There was a Palladian opening in the visible gable, four visible window openings on the second floor, and four visible four light windows on the first floor.
