Gordon R. Otis typed up this incident report of June 27, 1970. A Navy pilot, Stanley Griggs, flying a C-1 aircraft had landed at the airport by mistake about 3:30 in the morning. Since there was no damage to his aircraft, he took off again and flew to Patuxent River Naval Air Station, his intended destination. He contacted the airport manager and offered to pay for a smashed runway threshold light. Payment was accepted and repairs were made.Collection
