Black and white 8" x 10" very dark and fuzzy photo of the County courthouse with a large crowd in front and on the balcony as well. The building was two stories, brick with a four bay porch on the first floor center and a balcony created by a handrail on the roof of the porch. The central portion of the building stood out a short way from the wings on each side. It had five pointed arch windows on the second floor. The near wing had two windows on each floor in the front. On the end, only one arched window was visible on the second floor. A single downspout bisected that elevation. Each section of the building had a hipped roof. There was a small dormer on the front of the middle section of the roof. There was a white fence around the yard and building with a five step stile in the portion of the fence in the foreground. The crowd appeared to contain both men and women, so it was probably not a political gathering. There was some sort of banner above the balcony, but it was completely illegible. There were horses, carts and buggies in the foreground.
