This photograph is of the St. Mary's County Fair Board, the "modern" fair, as distinct from the Xavierian Brothers fair of the earlier part of the century. The board members are in a school room or meeting room--there are hooks on the wall for coats--seated around a large dark table. There is a four? light window behind the group, additional chairs along the wall, and a large white rope with a knot in the end hanging down from the left. There are pads of paper, notebooks, rulers, and an adding machine on the table. There are ten people in attendance, eight men and two women. Mr. Fenwick identified eight people. The men are all wearing three piece suits and ties and the two women are well dressed, but not wearing hats. Everyone is listening intently to the man in the lower right corner who is gesturing with his left hand.
