This newsletter does not have a real title. There is a masthead with the Cooperative Extension Service logo, CES, stacked vertically on the left. In a rectangle next to it is Cooperative Extension Service on one line, St. Mary's County on another line, with Home & Community on a third line. Perhaps this was a template for the entire state, with the county name the only modification. At the bottom of the page, in very tiny print, is a reference to the original enabling act of 1914 and another few lines with usual "programs open to all" statement. The date of the issue is not in a single place; one must hunt for it. The first sheet was usually white, but the other pages were often colored. The January and April issues for 1987 had a different masthead with the circular extension logo on the far left and "St. Mary's Extension Council for Home and Community" in the center and the date on the far right. The August 1987 issue reverted to the former pattern.
January 1986 P. 1 is notice and program for the January meeting and dues reminder that the dues would now be $2 per year. P. 2 is a continuation of the notices and an announcement, with accompanying tri-fold, of an education day in March. P. 3 had recipes. P. 4 was an annual report from the Willing Workers group.. P. 5 was information about a crafts contest. P. 6 had tips about buying by mail and statistics about the number of elderly people in Maryland by county P. 7 Calendar for January
