4"h x 5 7/8"w color photo taken of the fireplace in the replica State House at Historic St. Mary's City. The Margaret Brent Garden Club decorated the space every year for the Christmas madrigals. The Calvert family coat of arms hung above the fireplace. Between it and the top of the firebox was a pine garland with small red bows. Large red bows and pine sprays and white candles were on stands on each side of the fire. In each window was a large arrangement in a clay jug. More garlands were hung around the windows. An enormous yule log was in the fireplace.
