Mr. Coad owned a couple of lots in North Miami, Florida. Charles Carr was a realtor with whom Coad dealt and Seymour Silverman was Coad's attorney in Florida. The letters often mention a Sara Coad who had a store in the area. Coad apparently did not build on the lots; in fact, he was occasionally cited for letting the weeds get too high. Coad still owned the property in 1961.Collection
