1 map ; 23 5/8"h x 23 5/8"w
This map is based on the 1967 Assessment and Taxation map. A heavy black dashed line shows an area designed to protect the view of Historic St. Mary's City and to control development in the area to maintain its historic flavor. Beginning at Priest's Point on the south shore of St. Inigoes Creek, the line travels east along Vista Road to MD Route 5, follows the highway north to the smaller part of St. Inigoes Creek and turns east along the creekbed toward MD Route 235. The line follows MD 235 north to MD 489, where it turns west along that road until it meets MD Route 5 again. The line turns south for a short way and goes west on Father Andrew White Rd., crosses the river and follows Frog's Marsh Road west and south behind West St. Mary's, Portobello, and other large parcels, skirts the head of Cooper Creek, goes overland to Cartegena Creek, follows the creek to the St. Mary's river and crosses back to Priest's Point. This district was not well received in the county.Collection
