This memo from the State of Maryland to the Saint Mary's County Sheriff dictates that James Richardson is to be present at the Circuit Court in Leonardtown as a consequence of Richardson not attending as a witness to the trial of L. Foxwell. Judge Thomas F. Bowie signed the slip on November 22 as a witness to the document. It was then sent off by the clerk, James T. Blakistone on November 23, 1852. On the back of the paper is a note that indicates it is number 27 of a series.
