The front of this postcard is a sepia-toned photograph of the north porch of Swann's Hotel on Piney Point, Md. This postcard has a portrait orientation. The photograph is shot down the porch with rockers and benches in front of windows with shutters. The open work ceiling has a rippled effect in the distance. There are two electric fixtures hanging from that ceiling. The turned posts that hold up the porch roof are fastened to the floor with metal feet, presumably to prevent rot. One screened door and a doormat are visible in the left foreground. A triangular support is visible just past the man and woman seated at the end of the porch and another building or house is dimly visible beyond that. On the bottom frame: North porch--overlooking St. George's River--Swann's Hotel--Piney Point, Md. The other side of the card is blank.Collection
