The front of this postcard is a sepia-toned photograph of a porch of Swann's Hotel on Piney Point, Md. The white two story building has a wraparound porch on the lower floor with rockers and benches in front of windows with dark shutters. The windows on both floors have two over two lights and double hung sash. The right hand wing of the building is set back slightly from the rest. Part of the porch floor is elevated above the ground by brick or concrete posts and the turned posts that hold up the porch roof are fastened to the floor with metal feet, presumably to prevent rot. Two screened doors are visible. On the bottom frame: Front view of main building--Swann's Hotel--Piney Point, Md. The other side of the card is blank.Collection
