These three ledgers were found in the far west basement of Tudor Hall in the summer of 2007.
The name of J. B. McKay is the one most frequently found in the pages.
The ledger with the brightest red spine has entries from January to April of an un-named year, followed by 100 blank pages.
The ledger with a maroon spine, a heavily stained cover, and stains at the top of the spine begins with p. 9, February of an un-named year, followed by entries from 1925-1938. Beginning on p. 40 there are entries for an enterprise in Baltimore in 1909 that appears to run until p. 49. On p. 50, an enterprise in Denver Colorado, begun in March 1909, has entries for five pages. On p. 60 begins the entries for fishing parties started in 1939 that continues until p. 70 and 1942. Blank pages follow until p. 150, where there are a few entries about selling oysters. This book is quite dirty on the inside also.
The ledger with a maroon spine, a heavily stained cover, but no stains at the top of the spine starts with records for an enterprise in Baltimore in January-April 1909. This continues until on p. 19, it changes to an enterprise in Denver beginning with February 23, 1909. This is a mystery. Denver entries continue until p. 38 and March 23, 1909. On p. 45 are entries in an unpracticed hand for transactions in 1935, followed by entries for 1932. On p. 64-65, the entries are for 1935. After the usual set of blank pages, on p. 100 there are entries for Baltimore in 1909. Several pages were removed and on p. 116, the 1909 sales entries for Baltimore are entered, followed by the sales entries for Denver. This all ends on p. 123. This book is very dirty and very badly eaten by vermin.Location
