This is a transcript of an interview that Andrew Philip Bove did with Teresa O. Schaffer about her time living in Flat Tops. Teresa herself goes into how she came to live in the Flat Tops. She had been renting a home in Mechanicsville with her husband. Due to the length of her commute from home to work she developed an ulcer and her doctor recommended she move closer to the base. So both her husband and her found the first of three homes in Flat Tops. On base Teresa was a secretary at the Electronics Test Division and ended working for them for 10-12 years. She goes on to talk about how pleasant her neighbors were and how at one point there was 14 people in their 4 bedroom home.
