Description

8 3/8"h x 10 1/4"w color photo of Trent Hall in snow. The sky is very dark above the bright white and red brick house. Much of the house was obscured by large trees. There was a long wooden fence between the road and the building. It was a two and a half story gable roofed clapboard house with a large gable dormer at a ninety degree angle. On the right was a large two story red brick building that may have been the first part of the Hall. On the right, there was an inside end chimney at the peak of the roof. On the left was a barely visible chimney, also at the roof peak. There was a round arch window with round arch black shutters (one closed) in the peak of the dormer. On the second floor, there were three visible four over four windows with dark shutters. On the second floor of the brick section, only one window with dark shutters was visible. There was a hipped roof to cover the porch in each part of the house. Not all of the porch on the clapboard house was visible, but it was at least five bays. It had a simple railing and did not appear to be screened. The porch on the brick portion was also five bays, not screened. In the white house, there was a double center door, probably with a transom window. There was a red Christmas wreath on each side of the door. There appeared to be a large shuttered window on each side of the door. In the brick section, there appeared to be a central entry door with one or windows on each side. *********************************************************** Text on verso: in blue ink "Trent Hall"
