This is an 8"h x 10"w black and white photo of the presentation of a turkey and oysters from Saint Mary's County to President and Mrs. Kennedy in December 1961 at the White House. The group is standing on a porch. L-R: J. Frank Combs, Buck Briscoe behind the turkey, an unidentified man to the right who may be a Hodges, and James Hodges on the far right in the dark hat. The turkey stands proudly on top of his travel crate with a wrapped package and three cans of Potomac View oysters. The commercially prepared sign on the front of the crate says "Mr. St. Mary's Co. the V Gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from the good people of St. Mary's Co. MD. Seasons Greetings 1961 Ted Barker" [in small letters in the lower right corner]
