Description

Sepia photo, diamond shaped, of two women, probably sisters, both beautifully dressed. Oh, for color photography, to see the splendid hats. Both had their hair piled up and the hats rested gently on top. There were probably wicked hat pins involved. The woman on the left wore light colors and the woman on the right wore dark silk with lots of vertical tucks. Below the image is the catchphrase for the exhibit, "Celebrating the Women of St. Mary's County's Past." The frame was very dark wood with many levels. The level closest to the image had endless rope with raised centers all the way around.
