[Two young people before a dance]Entry/Object ID
1956.001.0049Description
Negative image of two teenagers, Jackie Curley and Margaret Hammett. The couple appears to be preparing to attend a dance and are standing next to each other in a living room. Margaret is wearing a dress, which gathers in the bodice, and has a lacy skirt. The sleeves are tank style and the dress appears to end at her shins. She is also wearing a pearl(?) necklace and a bracelet. Her hair is curled away from her face and may be pulled back, but appears to be short, ending at the nape her neck. She is smiling and clasps her hands in front of her body.
Jackie is wearing a suit with two buttons (one of which is buttoned), a light-colored shirt, and tie. It appears as if he has a pin on his left lapel. He is smiling and his hands rest at his sides.
The background shows a room with a staircase, desk, couch, table, lamp, and four pictures (two on the wall and two on the table) [one picture on the wall looks like it is of Bachelor's Hope?]. The interior decor looks as if it dates from the 1950s.Collection
