U. S. Navy passenger and baggage car 1Entry/Object ID
2019.009.0016Description
8"h x 10"w black and white photo of a U. S. Navy passenger and baggage car at the American Car and Foundry plant in St. Charles, Missouri. This car was number 277, destined for service at the proving ground at Dahlgren. This was a full length side view with an entry door on the left, thirteen windows for passengers, a blank space, a large, possibly sliding, door with five narrow lights, another blank space, a double hung window that may have been barred, and a final blank space. There were five ventilators in the roof and one small stack near the left end of the car. The caption suggests this was originally an A.C.F. photo.
