This sepia tone studio photo is pasted on a piece of light board. The young man is posed in front of a monochromatic wall with a deep baseboard of the same color. There is a flowered rug on the floor, on which stands a wood table with a marble top and a dark chair with very long fringe. Something dark is lying on the floor just behind the subject. This young man might be about six years old. He has dark wavy hair parted on his right. He has a very serious face, no doubt having been warned not to move. He has on a high light-colored collar above something like a jump suit with a wide waistband and light-colored buttons on the suit front and as decoration on the waistband. He is wearing high button shoes. He is standing with his right arm resting on the back of the chair. His left arm hangs at his side holding a round straw hat with a dark ribbon around the crown and dark ribbon outlining the brim.
