This studio portrait is pasted on board. It is a head and shoulders shot with no discernible background. His head was turned a little to his right and he gazed in that direction also. He had a very serious face. His hair was parted on his left and appeared to have been sternly slicked down for the photo. He had rather pouchy eyes, a full mouth, and was clean shaven. He had on an open dark coat with metal buttons hanging by the shank and a dark vest with the same buttons buttoned up to the top. He had on a spread collar shirt with a tie that had a flat knot with the two ends of the material tucked under the vest.
