1 compact disk ; 4 11/16" in diameter
Ethel W. Johnson Reed's oral history interview on August 7, 1996. She was a foster child; her real mother lived in Richmond. Ethel was not allowed to play with other children. She worked to support herself from age 11. Eventually she took courses at night and was able to become a government clerk. She did marry in 1933, but there were no children. They became very close to the Leroy Thompson family, who helped them open a restaurant in the county. The interview is on one disk and in a black plastic container with a cream label on the spine.
