3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of part of an old house. It appeared to be a small gable roofed building. Because it was mated with a similar structure, it is possible it may have been half of a slave cabin. The brick chimney was on the roof of the other building, down from the roof peak. The roof above the chimney was covered with sheet metal, so the original chimney may have been at the peak. The roof appeared to be of cedar shakes. There was a central door opening that was two steps above the ground. There was a small rectangular window next to the door, but there was no glass. Parts of the siding near the sill had been eaten away by moisture.
