One 3 1/2"w x 5"h oval dark sepia tone photographic portrait of an adult male who looked straight at the camera. He had dark hair parted on his left and slicked down. He had dark eyes and a small mustache. His ears were quite prominent. He appeared to be of powerful build. The clothing suggests it was in 1875-1883 time frame. He had on a dark suit and vest and a white shirt with a spread collar. He wore a dark plaid tie with a very large flat knot at the neck; the tails of the tie went down behind the vest. There was a pin on the tie knot that appeared to be the letter "G." Embossed in the cardboard frame was the name and location of the photographer "Howser Mich. City Ind."
