Description

3 7/8"h x 2 5/8"w sepia tone photo that has faded to almost nothing. The man was seated. He had thinning dark hair, mustache, and possibly a full beard. He was wearing a high stand collar held in place with a dark tie that had tails about halfway down his chest. He wore a dark vest, but his coat was lighter. His arms were resting on the arms of the chair and both hands were in his lap. ********************************** Text on verso: a thin piece of paper was glued to the back of the image. It was backwards, so it is difficult to read the text. On the right hand center there is a brown mark that looks like a cigarette burn. That mark is not on the image. In the center was a double circle with a stag rampant on the top. The were four holes in the center of the circle. The text in the circle is not legible. Under that "Bourne" in capital letters.
