2018.003.0038Description
3 7/16"h x 2 1/8"w sepia tone photo of a man who may have been in his thirties. He was looking directly into the camera and was not smiling. He had light brown hair parted on the left and combed to the right. He had a substantial mustache and possibly a fringe of hair right at the jaw line. He had on a very plain coat, a dark vest, a white shirt with a wing collar, and a striped silk tie with a luxurious bow. This may be the same person in 2018.003.0033. At the bottom of the card it says "Richard Walzl" on the left and "no. 46 N. Charles St. Balto." on the right.
**********************************
Text on verso: Mr. Walzl had a very elaborate label on the back of the card. There were 3 circles 5/8" in diameter at the top, 2 of which were awards for his work. He used a putti leaning against a box camera for his logo in the middle. Below, in very florid writing, was "Excelsior Richard Walzl's Palace of Artistic Photography N. Charles 46 Street Baltimore MD."Collection
