Black and white photograph 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w of a house at Upper Queen Tree on the Patuxent River. This view shows a large stone and brick chimney on the gable end of a one story cabin with another building on the right that incorporates the inside end chimney of the smaller building. The porch of the small building is incoporated into the roofline. The roof may be metal panels. Near the roof peak there is a spot where the siding has come off. Leaning next to the chimney are several tobacco sticks. A rough chicken wire fence separates the chimney from the porch. There is a hanging swing on the porch and some washtubs, a clothesline, a chest of drawers, and other unidentified objects. There may be one or more small barrels at the end of the porch. The door to the house is probably in the center, but if there are windows, they are not visible. The other building appears to be made of very old hand hewn boards. There is an opening in the roof peak right next to the chimney and there are boards askew in other spots.
