3 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w color postcard of Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg in 1912. There is a three story light brown brick building with a black mansard roof and a central tower facing a large courtyard. Another building creates an L with the main building. There are large lean-to roofed enclosures in front of each building. The students are massed in formation out in the courtyard. The card identifies the image as V.P.I. Barracks no. 1 and No. 2. The postcard was sent to Lettie Dent at Western Maryland College by a young man whose name is illegible. He indicated his room with an X.
