1 document ; 5" w x 5 7/8" h On June 7, 1877, M. M. Carter asked W. A. Padgett & Co. to pay Col. J. D. Freeman $49.61 to be paid from Freeman's account with Padgett. This was witnessed by E. M. Freeman. On the verso, it is apparent that a judgment was entered against Mr. Carter on February 16, 1878. One may infer from pencil entries on the front that the final judgment was $51.91.
