Promissory note executed at Milestown on June 26, 1877. Daniel T. Woodland promised to pay Richard Braun $37.50 six months from the above date. If paid when due, no interest would be charged. Daniel J. Payne witnessed the note. The note was later assigned to John H. Long on July 17, 1877, then to Daniel J. Payne on July 17, 1877 and then to William Hammett on August 21, 1879 by Daniel J. Payne.
