Scope and Content

1 document ; 5" w x 4 5/8" h Promissory note executed at Milestown on March 13, 1877 in which Susan Thomas promised to pay to D. C. Burch on demand $18 with interest. The next sentence is illegible. The money may have been for a third person to use. George M. Slye witnessed the transaction. On the bottom of the small piece of paper is a note in pencil, "Open 60.78 int. first July 1878." On the verso is written "Note Susan Thomas."
