Washington, Brandywine, and Point Lookout Railroad Locomotive 1Entry/Object ID
2019.009.0022Description
8"h x 10"w black and white photoshopped image of an older locomotive road number 1 at the Ivy City railroad yard in Washington, D.C.. The initials "W. B. & P. L. R. R." were barely visible on the side of the coal car. The cab had two sliding windows . The top of the locomotive had six pieces sticking up in the air: a light, a smokestack, a bell in a harness, two domes of slightly different sizes, and a whistle right in front of the cab. There was a cowcatcher among all the equipment on the nose. There were two pairs of big driving wheels, two pairs of smaller wheels in front and four pair of smaller wheels under the coal car. That car appeared to be full of scrap metal.
