Gold tone pocket watch 1/2" in diameter. It has a view of an Italian? lakeshore surrounded by a wreath of leaves and flowers on one side and the same wreath motif on the other side with Mrs. Cole's initials engraved in the opening. The face is white with thin Roman numerals for the hours. At the VI location, there is a tiny 60 second dial. The watch was made by the Illinois [Watch Co.]; the movement was made in 1889 and the case in 1888. Over 31,000 watches of this model were made.
