8"h x 10"w black and white photo of a gable roof story and a half clapboard house with an addition. There were gable end chimneys on each end of the main block and another on the gable end of the addition. The chimney on the left end appeared to have two stacks. The photographer was well away from the long side of the house. An integral porch, including the addition, had eight bays. The pillars may have rested on blocks on the ground rather than a porch floor. The house had a dark roof with three gable roof dormers in the main block and one in the addition. Each dormer had a six over six double hung window. On the first floor of the main block, there was a center entry door with two nine over six windows on each side. The door was three steps above the ground. There was also an entry door in the center of the addition with one nine over six window on each side. There was an exterior stair to the loft of the addition. To the right of the house was a white painted brick pyramid roof building, possibly a dairy or meathouse. Another building was at the very right edge of the photo. A dinner bell was on a tall pole by the fence in front of the main block. There were trees near the house, but since it was a winter scene, the entire view is rather gloomy.
