Description

This is an 8"h x 10"w black and white photo of the "'Welcome to' St. Mary's County Mother County of Maryland 1637" billboard by the side of the road in the northern part of the county. Mr. Briscoe lobbied heavily for this sign. Route 5 is a divided highway at this point and one can tell by the signs that a crossroads is near. An Esso? gas station is visible in the distance. ************************************************* Text on verso: none, but there is a robin's-egg-blue dot in the upper left corner
