8"h x 10"w black and white photo of Western Maryland Railroad station in St. James. The board and batten building had a central space for the station master, one wing for passengers and one for freight. The freight platform was elevated five steps above ground. The roof appeared to have been standing seam metal with large overhangs and there were two chimneys with quietly decorative corbels. A tall signal pole was outside the station master's office. On the gable end was the St. James name and then an entry door and one nine lights over six double hung window. On the longer elevation there was another window and entry door for passengers. There was also a park bench out in front. On this particular day, a motorbike was on the platform. Two men, one of whom may have been the station master in uniform, stood on the platform. The station appeared to be in the middle of nowhere. On the bottom of the image in white ink "1360 Shenandoah Div. St. James Com'B [combination?] Station"
