4 9/16"h x 3 1/2"w portrait oriented black and white photo of the White House at Charlotte Hall School. This view was identified by Hope Grace as the west end. The building was a story and a half with white walls and a dark "Dutch" shingle roof. There was an inside end chimney with corbel. On the first floor, there were shed roof open porches in the center of each long side of the building with the porch floor supported by four small brick posts. On the first floor of this gable end were two tall six over six double hung windows with a flat arch on top. The arch was painted a dark color. On the second floor were two smaller six over six double hung windows, also with an arch. An electric line ran from just above and to the left of the right second floor window down to the ground. A downspout was on the left side of the gable end, almost at the corner. There was no landscaping around the building.
