4"h x 6 3/8"w sepia tone photograph of the beach resort called The Wigwam at St. Clements Shores. In the foreground, an area of the bay was fenced off for swimming. There were a few swimmers there. There were many people on the beach, the pier, and the large porch of the main building which was elevated above the beach. There were several outbuildings, but the photographer was far enough away that it is difficult to tell what purposes they served. The main building had a high steep roof and a dramatic west facing window, so it might have put you in mind of a wigwam if you had had enough beer. It was certainly a popular spot.
