Edwin Coad was the maternal grandfather of William Hill, so J. Allan Coad and his sister, Paula Thompson, were potential legatees. However, Mr. Hill's estate was so small, it was probably completely eaten up by attorneys' fees.
July 28, 1953 Letter from John C. Beck, an attorney handling Mr. Hill's estate. He sent a copy of the will and a copy of the petition that had been filed to declare Regina Hill the executor. Coad had to sign a form declaring he had received the paperwork and consented to the petition.
There is a little mention of this in Paula Thompson's correspondence with Coad on August 26, 1953.Collection
