Sepia print of a man, W.E. (William Ernest) "Buck" Clarke. The photograph is split into two images, one on top of the other. Mr. Clarke was Sheriff for some of his adult life.
Top print: Two men, one in the foreground ("Buck") and one in the background (unidentified). The photograph was taken outside and "Buck" stands in the middle of the frame, facing the camera. "Buck" is wearing a light-colored, Derby hat with a darker color band around its base. He is wearing a white, collared shirt, a dark-colored necktie, a dark-colored vest over the shirt and necktie. The vest is buttoned down the front. He is also wearing a jacket and pants of the same color as the vest. He appears to be holding something in his left hand (possibly a cigar), and is bending his left arm, holding his hand (and possible cigar) near his stomach. His other arm hangs to his side. The man standing behind "Buck" wears a light-colored, Derby hat, a white shirt, and dark vest. Only half of his body is visible from behind "Buck." There are a couple of trees behind the men and to their right is a truck with a bed made of high wooden sides, which appears to be covered.
Bottom print: Similar to the top print only the man in the background does not appear. Additional changes include: "Buck" is looking off into the distance, appears to be smoking a cigar, and has both hands at his sides or in his pockets.
