Description

8"h x 10"w black and white landscape photo of the memorial for veterans of World War I. The view is toward St. Aloysius Church from in front of the bank building at the end of the square. The grassy area in the foreground is covered with litter. There is a single car on the left and several cars barely visible on the right through the trees. A sidewalk bisects the grass in the middle of the verge. The stone monument is a few feet beyond the sidewalk. It has two wings with large plaques for names of the fallen and a center tall stone with a round globe on top. There is a flagpole behind the memorial. There may be a fire siren on a metal tower beyond the flagpole. ************************************ Text on verso: none
