4 3/8"h x 2 9/16"w portrait orientation sepia tone photo of Ye Coole Springs. A heavy masonry arch with two large arms created an opening for the spring water and a place for the water to pool. There was a metal? plaque on the top of the arch, but it was impossible to read the text. All the area around the masonry was uneven and muddy-looking, so perhaps this was a new thing and the landscaping was not complete. ********************************** Text on verso: In pencil "1--"
