4"h x 3"w sepia photographic portrait of a girl, possibly eleven or twelve years of age. Her dark hair is very simply drawn back, but one cannot see what was done with it in the back. She has dark eyes with a sleepy expression. I think she wore simple earrings. Her dark dress had a very plain high collar, a wide band down the center and lots of gathers at the shoulder yoke. The puffed sleeves were rather high, suggesting the 1890s. She wore a bar pin at her throat and had a small crescent pin below. My guess is that this is Margaret Linehan who later married Dr. Greenwell, but it might also be a Fenwick.
