Scope and Content

Hans Marx in an attached note recorded this letter as having been a survey for either the Chesapeake Steamship Company or the Old Bay Line done when the latter bought the former in 1941. He noted that "this was the pier property of the Chesapeake Line which adjoined that of the Old Bay Line." He also noted that for the layout, "see various blueprints in my collection," although it is yet unclear if the Steamboat Era Museum has those in their collection.
