Servey Report for the Steamer Midland (formerly the Steamer Newport News) which burned only 5 years after having burned previously. This report covers the damages, provided specifications for rebuilding, as well as quotes and timetables from various shipyards to put the ship back in service. Steamer was owned by the Norfolk and Washington Steamboat Company. Found in envelope 2024.35.041.
