Old Bay Line Engineer's log for the steamer "State of Virginia" from May 3rd, 1938, to April 16th, 1940. Hans Marx noted on the envelope it came in: "Note: 'Houseboat' cruises and regular Norfolk Run" He also noted that on August 26-29, 1938 "Dad, Ruth, and I aboard - Houseboat Cruise"
