Description

Watch chain from the retirement watch presented to Robert Foster (see accession 2024.32.004.a). On the front of the anchor are his initials (R.S.F) for Robert Sydney (or Sidney) Foster. On the reverse is S.S. State of Virginia which was probably the last ship he captained. Chain no longer fits on watch loop.
